With essays by contemporary art historian Pascal Rousseau and virologist Olivier Schwartz, plus two interviews with the artist: one with anthropologist Bruce Albert and the other with philosopher Emanuele Coccia.
From 8 December 2022 to 30 April 2023, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain presents an exceptional exhibition devoted to the French artist Fabrice Hyber. Bringing together some sixty paintings, including almost fifteen works created specifically for the exhibition, Fabrice Hyber is creating a school within the Fondation Cartier that is open to all hypotheses and all forms of learning. The catalogue published to mark the occasion features a wide selection of paintings created by the artist. It also reveals La Vallée, the forest he planted in the Vendée over twenty years ago, which has become a work in its own right. Through numerous photographs of the Vallée and Fabrice Hyber's workshops, archive images, texts and interviews, the reader has a unique opportunity to plunge into his personal universe. Finally, videos of Fabrice Hyber presenting his paintings can be accessed by means of QR codes reproduced in the book.
