This curatorship explores the links that Agnès Varda has woven with architecture in her work and puts them into perspective. The responses are rich and on several levels: architecture literally evoked in the image (the short film Les dites Cariatides, the installation La terrasse Le Corbusier-Les gens de la terrasse), the elaboration of installations that play with the notions of space and habitat (Les Cabanes de Cinéma) or the direct links with the Palais idéal du facteur Cheval and Agnès Varda's curiosity for other recuperative creators (from Simon Rodia, who built the Watts Towers in Los Angeles, to the artist Pony in the film Visages Villages).
Previously unpublished photographs and a montage of excerpts from her films highlight her sense of composition and her interest in textures and materials that give another dimension to this notion of architecture, like a signature...
